Refreshing a printed brand asset for one of the UK’s leading formalwear providers

Cameron Ross — Formal Hire Brochure

Cameron Ross is one of the UK’s top names in formal hire, supplying outfits to clients and retailers nationwide. Their printed brochure had long been a key marketing asset — used by partners in-store and by customers planning weddings, black tie events and other formal occasions.

By mid-2017, the brochure was showing its age. It had been in circulation for over five years, during which time the collection had evolved, new products had been introduced, and the styling and photography no longer reflected the brand’s current offer.

My role: Redesigning the brochure from concept to print-ready artwork

I was tasked with creating a new look and layout for the brochure — one that would modernise the presentation of the Cameron Ross collection and feel more aligned with contemporary customer expectations.

Key changes included:

  • Developed a new grid and typographic system to improve clarity and flow
  • Directed a refreshed photographic approach to better showcase the full range of outfits, accessories and fabrics
  • Created layouts that would highlight product combinations, colour options and key outfit groupings
  • Delivered a fully artworked brochure, optimised for both digital distribution and high-quality print

The final result was a clean, well-structured brochure that not only reflected the updated product range but also elevated the brand’s visual identity — helping retailers guide customers through the selection process with greater ease.
